My pet needs to go to the vet. Can you take them?

In case of an emergency, YES! Unfortunately we cannot promise that we can stay with your pet at the Vets' office depending on the schedule.

Do you board animals?

Unfortunately we don't board dogs.

How many dogs do you walk at once?

We usually do one on ones but make an exception if you have a friend in the building or across the street. We max 2 dogs per walk for a Dog Pool.

What areas do you service?

For dog walking we service the following areas: Chelsea, Tribeca, Soho, West Village, Flatiron, Garment District,  Tenderloin, Meat Packing District.

For Cat care and plant care we service the following areas: Chelsea, Tribeca, Soho, West Village, Flatiron, Greenwich, Meat packing District, Tenderloin, Nomad, Bed-stuy, Williamsburg, Greenpoint, Ridgewood, Bushwick, Middle Village, Maspeth

What if I have a last minute request? Will you guys be able to to service me?

We guarantee to honor requests made 24 hours prior to the desired service. However, we cannot guarantee we will be able to honor requests made the day of due to possible conflicting schedules but we will do the best that we can!

If my pet has an accident, do you clean it up?

Yes! We will clean up as best as we can. We do not add additional time for clean up so cleaning up may take away some time from your dogs walk.

What happens if the weather is severe?

We are available in all sorts of weather to accommodate your pets needs IF transportation allows us to get to your pets. During very cold days and very hot days we may reach out to you and ask to shorten your dogs time outside. We will play inside for the remainder of your dogs walk for the safety of your dogs and our walkers.

I am going away in two days and don’t have time to meet one of your sitters. Will you take care of my pets without meeting them?

No. We require meet and greets between our sitters, parents and pets before providing care to prevent any safety issues. It is also very important to use that we understand your animals care taking needs without any misunderstanding and we find the best way to accomplish that is to have a verbal face to face meeting.

Who will I be meeting at the meet and greet and are meet and greets free?

Meet and greets are free. At the meet and greet you will be meeting two walkers. One of which will be your primary walker and one who will be your primary walkers back up.

What are your service hours?

Our general service hours are from 9am - 6pm Sunday through Saturday. However you can request a walk as early as 8am and as late as 10pm for an additional fee.

How are payments handled? Do you accept cards? When do I pay?

All payments are handled securely through Pet Check Technology. We only accept debit/credit cards for payment. We charge every week on Mondays for the services provided the week prior.

What is your privacy policy?

NYC Canine Care will safeguard the confidentiality and security of the information we obtain from you. We are committed to protecting your privacy. We use the information we collect for the purpose of your pets visits and to process your credit card transactions. This notice describes our privacy policy as it relates to the collection, protection and disclosure of such information resulting from credit card transactions and client registrations and profiles.
The credit card information provided by you to NYC Canine Care will be stored in a confidential manner.
