My pet needs to go to the vet. Can you take them?
In case of an emergency, YES! Unfortunately we cannot promise that we can stay with your pet at the Vets' office depending on the schedule.
Do you board animals?
Unfortunately no. We believe it is much better for your pet to stay at home where he/she feels safe in their familiar and secure environment.
How many dogs do you walk at once?
We only do one on one walks unless you request a dog pool. If you have two or three dogs in your home we will walk them together with an additional fee.
What areas do you service?
For walks & short term visits we service Tribeca, Flatiron, Chelsea, Greenwich Village and Soho.
We are open to broader locations for overnights and cat visits. Contact us for more information.
What if I have a last minute request? Will you guys be able to to service me?
We guarantee to honor requests made 24 hours prior to the desired service. However, we cannot guarantee we will be able to honor requests made the day of due to possible conflicting schedules but we will do the best that we can!
If my pet has an accident, do you clean it up?
Yes! We will clean up as best as we can. We do not add additional time for clean up so cleaning up may take away some time from your dogs walk. Our walkers will always notify you of any accidents prior to cleaning up.
What happens if the weather is severe?
We are available in all sorts of weather to accommodate your pets needs IF transportation allows us to get to your pets. During very cold days and very hot days we may reach out to you and ask to shorten your dogs time outside. We will play inside for the remainder of your dogs walk for the safety of your dogs and our walkers.
I am going away in two days and don’t have time to meet one of your sitters. Will you take care of my pets without meeting them?
No. We require an initial meeting between our sitters, parents and pets before providing care.
Who will I be meeting at the meet and greet and are meet and greets free?
Meet and greets are free. At the meet and greet you will be meeting three walkers. One of which will be your primary walker and two who will be your primary walkers back up.
Do you really need two copies of my house key?
Yes. We do not offer drop off and pick up key service. Remember we are bonded and insured. Two sets of keys allows us to handle last minute requests and emergencies more efficiently.
What are your service hours?
Our general service hours are from 9am - 6pm Sunday through Saturday. However you can request a walk as early as 8am and as late as 10pm for an additional fee.
How are payments handled? Do you accept cards? When do I pay?
All payments are handled securely through Pet Check Technology. We only accept debit/credit cards for payment. We charge every week on Mondays for the services provided the week prior.
The credit card information provided by you to NYC Canine Care will be stored in a confidential manner.
What are your terms of service?
NYC Canine Care is also referred to as: “NYCCC” or “We.” The Client is also referred to as “Client”, “You(r)”, “Owner.”
We agree to come to your home when you book services with us and will provide good, quality pet care for your pets as requested by the you the Client as presented on our services page of our website.
